Backyard Cape Cod Wedding in Dennis, Massachusetts
A small wedding ceremony can be big on luxury details. Ilana and Jake chose to host their nuptials in the backyard of their family home on Cape Cod in Massachusetts. Personal touches were infused in every aspect of their wedding day: flowers from the garden were used for table settings, in the bride’s bouquet, and even in the bride’s hair! Seating for the ceremony was arranged in a semi-circle around the base of a majestic apple tree to accomodate a small handful of the bride and groom’s closest family and friends. For the reception, elegant white tents shaded brightly appointed tables with golden sunflower arrangements. Homemade honey on each place setting highlighted the exquisite intimacy of the day. The sunny and bright theme extended to the cake, which was topped with more sunflowers and joyful silk ribbon. Dinner was prepared in the family kitchen. The menu included citrus-infused fish; hand-shucked clams and oysters topped off the quintessential Cape Cod atmosphere. After dinner, the Bride, Groom, and I went down to the nearby docks, where we were able to take some stunning portraits under the warm Atlantic sun.
