Los Angeles Gay Surprise Proposal at Exposition Park

Congratulations to Hunter and Josh on their engagement! This surprise proposal took place in the iconic Rose Garden at Exposition Park in Los Angeles, California. This surprise proposal was planned and executed by an incredible team of wedding creatives including Frank Shaver-Burgess of Events by Frank, Carlos Cortez of NPD Events, Keida Brewer of Swannworks Films, and Priscilla Foster of Priscilla Foster Handmade Albums. At this unique time in history, it’s more important than ever to celebrate love in all its forms. That’s why we’ve partnered with these incredible LGBTQ+ owned business and allies to create a special surprise proposal for Hunter and Josh. Exposition Park near downtown Los Angeles, California is known for its stunning architecture and picturesque backdrops. Exposition Park offers a romantic and iconic setting for engagement photos with an array of enchanting locations. The Rose Garden in particular is filled with vibrant blooms at this time of year and is the epitome of romance! Hunter wanted the proposal to be a reflection of his relationship with Josh, incorporating his favorite flowers in his favorite colors as well as printed snapshots of some of their most cherished memories. Florals by Carlos at NPD Events included an elegant mix of roses, wisteria, and orchid in pale blues and purples, a nod to Josh’s favorite colors, all cascading from golden metallic arch adorned with pillar candles. The final touch was a printed linen sigil that read “Will You Marry Me?” A few close friends were also invited to witness the surprise moment and join in the festivities with a champagne toast. After popping the question (he said yes!) we took Hunter and Josh around the Rose Garden at Exposition Park for some incredible romantic golden hour sunset portraits.
